Me and My Story of Life in France
Welcome to A French Collection.
I’m Annette an Australia who is, by my own admission a hopeless Francophile, and lucky enough to live between my homes in Australia (Newcastle) and France (Brittany).
A French Collection started as a blog sharing our family’s experiences of purchasing a holiday home in Brittany, France and our adventures, mishaps and sheer good times of living in a small rural village nestled amongst farms overflowing with cows, chickens and maize.
Living part time in France and adapting to the French way of life has had its challenges but has also provided our family with some of its most treasured moments. Maintaining a French home and garden from the other side of the globe in Australia, has also proven to stretch our organisational skills, diplomacy and time management.
As a family we have laughed often, cried with exhaustion, got lost and then found our way, stuffed ourselves with french gastronomic delights and explored much of France. These memoirs I hope will entertain, inform and inspire you.
Our Life in France series shows how if your heart is bursting with a dream – all things are possible.
As our team here at A French Collection has grown, we now share posts from our team contributors and guest writers who live, travel, work and love France, just like us. Travel articles, what’s on in France posts, recipes from our very own Le Cordon Bleu pastry chef contributor, fashion tips, book and film reviews and famous people, landmarks and more, are now all shared with you, our wonderful readers.
Join us as we enjoy France!
Annette xx
