Important Things To Know About Our Paris Tours - Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
These are some of the questions I get asked about our Paris tours so take a moment to read below, and if you have any other questions please contact me via the enquiry box below.*
How many days and nights do the tours go for?
Our Paris tours go for 7 complete, fully escorted days and 7 nights accommodation in an elegant boutique hotel in the 7th arrondissement with each lady enjoying their own private double room with ensuite bathroom. We'll have a 'meet the group' dinner the evening prior to Day 1 at a cosy cafe near the hotel for those that are interested.
How many people go on your tours and can single people join your tours?
Absolutely, single ladies are most welcome - that's who our tours are specifically designed for. We love that we can offer women an opportunity to travel to France that otherwise might not travel together and to create lasting memories and friendships. To ensure our tours are personable we take a maximum of 7 ladies, so including myself we will be an awesome group of 8 lady travellers. You can come alone, bring a daughter or a girlfriend.
If you have a partner or husband that you really want to travel with, contact us for our custom tour options. We have taken couples and groups of x3 couples to France, so there is no need to miss out just because you wish to travel together. Let us know via the contact form below.
How do I book and pay?
First let us know you're interested and we'll send you the Itinerary and Terms and Conditions - and of course answer any questions you might have.
If you wish to confirm your booking, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required, or the total tour amount if your booking request is less than 90 days prior to the tour commencement date. Payment of the balance of the tour price, that is 75% of the tour cost is due 90 days prior to the commencement of the tour, unless booking is made less than 90 days prior to tour commencement date.
Tour deposits and all other monies can be deposited into our business account via EFT or into our business PayPal account - invoices will have payment option details. All fees are quoted in Australian dollars. If you pay by credit card, surcharges or merchant fees may be payable in addition to the fees.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes absolutely. Purchasing your own travel insurance is a condition of booking a tour. A copy of your travel insurance documents will need to be provided at the time of your booking.
What happens if I do not want to participate in any arranged activity? Can I get a partial refund?
Unfortunately, we cannot refund any portion of the tour price for non-participation in any planned activity.
Can I have a room to myself?
Absolutely, travelling is super fun but at the end of the day, a private room and private bathroom is just what we need to kick off our shoes, lay down and ponder our incredible day of sightseeing. A French Collection tours are quoted including a private double room with private bathroom per guest. Unlimited Free WIFI means connecting with family and sharing your travels on social media is easy too.
Why are your tours women only?
Well, to put it simply, men are just not the same as women. Believe me I know. I have been seriously travelling the world for the last 30 years, the last 10 more so in England and France, with my husband, two sons and daughter. It has been a privilege to grow and travel together as a family, but I know that us girls enjoy different things and approach travel differently. We will laugh, walk and do just what us girlfriends want, and on our own timetable.
I am not sure if I am fit enough for one of your tours.
To fully experience the places we stay in and visit, we will be walking a lot. Cobbled streets, hilly villages, antique markets etc will be explored on foot. Please read the tour itinerary to understand if this style of tour is appropriate for you.
Paris is a city of steps and stairs with Metro stations not usually having lifts or escalators and old buildings usually without lifts or escalators also. Parisian live by walking and as we want to immerse ourselves in the Parisian way of life, we will also be on foot. Expect to walk at least 5 km a day and to climb around 150 stairs during the course of a day. Some days like our visit to Montmartre will have more stairs if you wish to fully explore the area on foot (there is a funicular option also).
Can I arrive before the tour starts or stay on in Paris after it finishes?
Of course! The tour is designed with a fairly relaxing first day to accommodate new arrivals, but you may want to allow yourself some extra time to settle into Paris. You may also like to continue travelling at the completion of this tour.
On the last day of the tour, which is filled to the brim with beautiful art, garden wanderings and shopping we return late afternoon to the hotel to collect our bags (which have been safely locked at the hotel), say goodbye to our Paris home and our newest girlfriends.
Do you offer any other tours to France?
Yes, as well as taking guests to Paris, we offer 7 day escorted tours to Normandy & Brittany. After living part time in Brittany for 10 years I'm so excited to share my region of France with guests. We stroll along beaches, eat in cosy restaurants and walk the cobbled streets of ancient towns - think St Malo, Mont St-Michel, Dinan and Honfleur - just for starters. If this sounds amazing to you too, then check out our Discover Normandy & Brittany Tour Brochure
We also understand that not everyone wants to travel alone or with a daughter or girlfriend. So if you wish to travel with your partner, or our Tour dates don’t suit you, contact Annette directly to discuss a custom tour.
