Why the 2CV Car is Loved so Much, Driving in Paris and Funny Village Story - Newsletter #119
Bonjour! This weekend I’m delighted to share posts all about the wonderful little French car the 2CV, driving in France and a funny village story involving Monsieur All About (and his car).
I know many of you have loved our themed newsletters and asked for more of the same, so this weekend it’s all about cars. Why? Well, I’m back in Australia and at One Raceway Motor racing circuit at Goulburn for a weekend of car racing. My husband and eldest son race Formula Vee cars and this weekend is a round of the HiTec Oil Series. As I sit in the pit garage watching all the action with the mechanics doing last minute polishing of cars and drivers returning from their driver’s briefing, I decided our newsletter theme would be around French cars and driving.
Driving in France can be very daunting for visitors, and not without merit. It can be challenging to jump into a hired car and suddenly drive on the opposite side of the road you’re used to, and navigate yourself around a foreign city.
So have fun reading about a different side of living and visiting France, the iconic French ‘tin snail’ car and our loveable local who we nicknamed ‘Monsieur All About’.
