How to be Parisian Book Review, Your Guide to Paris Carousels and Buttery Kougin Amann
Bon weekend
Coming to you with some fabulous posts from France this warm weekend where beach days and late night outdoor dining will be the norm. Actually it’s just gone 10:43pm, Friday night as I type this for you after a delightful dinner out with a bunch of friends. An unhurried stop at the local brasserie for drinks and then galettes and ice-cream sundaes at a nearby crêperie whilst the local evening market continued around us. A fun setting with the best company!
Buttery desserts are on my mind at the moment as I write new posts on the most eaten, and well loved, traditional Breton desserts. Breton cakes are known for their large butter content. Butter is produced in huge quantities here in Brittany with herds able to live on lush meadows and the salt producing areas in the Gulf of Morbihan and Guérande Peninsula nearby. This week I featured the Kougin Amann, which is rated as the No.1 dessert in the region. Have you tried one yet?
Paris is still the centre of the sporting world at the moment, so I’ve included a couple of Paris themed posts this weekend - fun loving carousels in Paris and how to channel your inner Parisian style.
All you have to do now is find somewhere comfy to sit, grab a drink and join me in France.
