June French Subscription Box Gifts Revealed
This first box is a very special one that was created just for our lovely customers during this extraordinary time of isolation and uncertainty when it's been important to stay at home when we can, keep ourselves healthy and find activities that relax us. That’s why we themed it ‘Rejuvenate & Take Care’.
So now that all our ladies have received their box and opened it, I'm delighted to reveal the items included in the June box and share a bit of the story behind the designers, company owners and French background of each of the products.
While changes have been made to the boxes we use (due to Covid-19 global delivery challenges) and some of our artisans were unable to fulfil their orders, we felt it was important to fulfil our promise made before the Covid -19 pandemic and still deliver our boxes. So we were happy to have included these gorgeous items supporting a variety of French inspired small businesses and original items from France.
French Note Card
Inspired by travel throughout France the brand French Letterpress was born. Each card is handmade using luxurious reclaimed soft cotton paper and a vintage Original Heidelberg Windmill Press.
The Fleur de Lis originally chosen by King Louis VI or King Louis VII (sources disagree) as his royal symbol on his shield, has now become a symbol of France and French royalty.
Vintage Botanical Print
I happened upon an old botanical book while at a book market with my son and just had to bring it home.
Thinking each page more beautiful than the last, I thought one of the pages might look great framed simply in black, or possibly in an old and slightly battered golden frame. I'm delighted to share these botanical prints with you.
Silver Tea Spoon
Brocantes and flea markets are part of life in France and antiquing is a common past time. On my visits to the largest antique market in the world Saint Ouen or Les Puce Market, west of Paris I always look out for pretty spoons.
Your spoon will be just perfect to use when making your Deitea cup of tea, whilst reading your French memoir, ‘My Four Seasons in France’ book.
Deitea Luxury Looseleaf Tea
Deitea is the purveyor of bespoke luxury tea blends and takes their inspiration for flavours, packaging and names from France. They use the world’s finest ingredients to make teatime a luxurious everyday ritual. {No.5} Jardin de Fleurs (Garden Flowers) is very French and handcrafted to give you a sensory experience. Perfectly soothing whilst sitting in your garden or reading a good book.
I am sure the packaging would even be given a seal of approval by French fashion icon Coco Chanel who famously created Chanel No. 5 Perfume.
My Four Seasons in France Book by Janine Marsh
Living the good life in France, internationally acclaimed author, magazine editor, and creator of award winning website 'The Good Life France', Janine Marsh shares the story of her life in rural France that started with buying a run down house during a French wine buying weekend with her husband.
Not yet readily available in Australia, this second book of Janine's has been sourced directly for you, and it's sure to entertain and delight you. Enjoy! (To read about Janine's first best seller book, 'A Good Life in France' click here.)
Panier des Sens Toiletries
Let the poetry of Grasse take you on a journey to Provence with this sweet travel set. The pretty and useful cotton pouch has four wellbeing care products perfumed with Rose Geranium absolute.
The rose-like aroma of geranium is delicate, both sweet and strong, similar to that of rose, yet distinctive thanks to its light green and citrus notes. 96% natural and just for you.

In a classic stone colour you'll look chic and with a couple of useful pockets you'll love its practically.
